  3. Thanks for the comment Alex. Im pleased with it, and the best thing is im taking my time with it as it only needs finishing for mid June. Hope you like the sound of the course - are you thinking of doing it?

  4. Looks fabulous. The colours all go well together. Is it all over fairlisle. The shaping is tricky with this. Look forward to seeing the finished item.

  5. Hi Andrea thanks for the comment. Yes its allover fairisle. I completely avoided doing a shaped garment considering the tricky shaping concerned with fairisle so i just stuck with a dropped shoulder and straight/lantern sleeves. My friend prefers straight lines in clothes anyway rather than shaping so this has worked out well. Looking back at it i should have used my colour changer to do this now, although i didnt have it back then. It sure would have come in useful, and would have meant hardly any ends to sew in.

  7. Lovely jacket!
This will be a real beauty when it is finished.
I have a color changer too but haven't used it yet - maybe I should take it out and dust it off?
    Your jacket is really inspiring.
As for the straight/lantern sleeves, these are the more traditional with fairisle and I feel they show off the pattern to the best advantage.

  8. Thank you Jemajo - ive put the bands on now and the zip. Just need to sew in all ends and then wash and block, and then its finished, at last! It will be nice when its finished - allthough there are a few things i would have changed having finished it, namely the front neck shaping. Alex, glad you have got the information. Im really enjoying the lessons - im learning new techniques i never thought existed so its a good thing a way. :-)
